August 23rd, 2010 | Author: COPD

The Federation of International Respiratory Societies have declared October 14th, 2010 World Spirometry Day to celebrate lung health during the Year of the Lung.

This coordinated event to deliver free spirometry helps raise awareness for lung disease around the world. Spirometry is a simple diagnostic tool that can be utilized to screen for lung diseases like COPD. Everyone who has a stake in raising awareness of lung disease, COPDers and providers alike, have a role to play in this event.

Events that are being planned will be logged on the World Spirometry Day website and on the Facebook page.

A council in Stockport, Cheshire, England is deliberately exposing 550 young children and 78 babies to brown asbestos fibres. They tried to leave all the brown asbestos on the new school site until they were forced to admit its existence.

Have a look at the “experts” removing it – two bored men disinterested in their work and one even takes off his respirator, so no chance he will do his job properly to protect the children.

The council has repeatedly acted corruptly to cover up what they were up to.

All your good work is for nothing when crooks like this have power.

    Kind regards

    Sheila
