COPD8USA and the Community Education Workshop!

April 1st, 2013 | Author: Fabiana Talbot

The COPD Foundation is hosting the COPD8USA Conference June 14-15, 2013 in Chicago, Illinois!  The conference will include 3 tracks: Clinical, Research and Care Delivery to address the new healthcare environment, and educate healthcare providers about how to best utilize the new system to positively impact patient care.

COPD8USA is a multi-disciplinary CME conference for healthcare and healthcare management professionals.  The program is designed for primary care physicians, pulmonologists, advanced and registered nurses, physician assistants and respiratory therapists, medical directors, care coordinators and others who are involved and/or interested in the management of individuals with COPD.  Unlike other COPD conferences that focus solely on the scientific and research aspects of COPD, the COPD Conference Series is designed to provide practical information for clinical management as well as the latest in clinical and basic research.

Reserve your place at the conference and register today!  COPD8USA will be held on June 14-15, 2013 at the Hilton, Chicago, located in the heart of downtown Chicago. It is within walking distance to many of Chicago’s historical and cultural attractions!

Are you a patient or caregiver and want to join in on COPD8usa?  The COPD Foundation is also hosting a patient workshop in June 14, 2013.  The Community Education Workshop Series and the Respiratory Health Association’s patient conferences have brought the experts to the patients across the country to help create educated, empowered and team oriented community partnerships.  Patients and caregivers are rarely presented with an opportunity to meet their entire healthcare provider team, leaving them in the dark about who is coordinating their care, who can help the best with what issue and in some cases, overwhelmed with navigating the system all together. COPD patient advocates from across the country attending COPD8USA will join with the Chicago area patient community for this unique facilitated panel discussion.
