The 7News and Partners Healthcare Health and Fitness Expo is coming up soon.

The event will take place at the Hynes Convention Center in Boston, MA and the COPD Foundation will be participating both Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.

This is 7News and Partners Health Care’s 4th annual free Health and Fitness Expo and will be open to the public. There will be fun and educational activities and shows for the kids, complimentary health screening for adults and even healthy cooking tips so everyone in the family can enjoy the occasion.

We are really excited and encourage you to get involved, whether its

listening to the speakers, or simply engaging in conversations with others in the community about COPD.

John McGuire, Director of Professional Relations at the COPD Foundation, will be at the COPD Foundation booth providing free spirometry screenings and lung health checks. Spirometry is the preferred test for diagnosing COPD because it obtains ample information in the most cost-effective manner.

As you may know, our Mobile Spirometry Unit (MSU) has not only been effective in spreading COPD awareness, but it has also offered thousands of free spirometries (lung tests) to individuals attending health fairs and senior expos across the U.S.

You can also look forward to asthma and cardiovascular screenings at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital exhibit, which is one of the many participating hospitals at the long awaited event.

We look forward to seeing all of you stop by this year’s Boston Health and Fitness Expo so check out their schedule, make plans to attend and take advantage of everything they have to offer!
