The COPD Foundation is pleased to announce the unveiling of a new visual identity consisting of a new logo and new COPD Foundation colors.
Our new logo includes a pinwheel icon, which provides an eye-catching and memorable mark symbolizing the easy movement of air and the vitality of breath. It was chosen as an emblem to signify a person’s ability to breathe well enough to make a pinwheel spin.
COPD Orange is the official color of the COPD Foundation. Our goal is the adoption of this color as a distinctive element in a worldwide campaign to increase awareness of the risk factors, symptoms, and treatment of COPD. Orange also represents energy, enthusiasm, determination, and success.
“Take Action Today. Breathe Better Tomorrow.” is the new tagline for the COPD Foundation.
The COPD Foundation is focused on developing and supporting programs, which improve the quality of life for those whose lives are impacted by COPD through research, education, early diagnosis and enhanced therapy.
The COPD Foundation has been established to speed innovations which will make treatments more effective and affordable, undertake initiatives that result in expanded services for COPD patients, and improve the lives of patients with COPD and related disorders through research and education that will lead to prevention and someday a cure for this disease.
A new COPD Foundation website which incorporates the new brand will launch in March 2013.
